Happy Spring to everyone.
We are looking forward to a new season of Tennis
Here are some Oak Hills Tennis updates

Welcome Back Fundraiser

We are excited to kick off the 2022 season at Oak Hills with a "Welcome Back" fundraising dinner put on by the Tennis Friends of Oak Hills. The dinner will be on Sunday, May 22, from 3 pm to 6 pm, at the newly renovated Smokin' Aces restaurant at Oak Hills Park. We will be honoring Art Goldblatt, the founder of Tennis Friends, who passed away last October. The cost is $50 per person and it will include a buffet-style dinner, coffee/tea, a dessert table, and a cash bar.

We will also host a silent auction at the dinner and we are looking for items or services to be donated, such as gift baskets, gift cards, tennis paraphernalia, weekend getaway homes, etc. If you or someone you know can contribute, you may contact :
David McGoldrick (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

Please register for this event by May 13.
Registration payment can be made in two ways: Venmo (@Richard-Dellinger) OR
Send a check payable to Supporters of Oak Hills Park (with “Tennis” in the memo) to:

Rich Dellinger
45 Purdy Road East
Norwalk, CT, 06850

The proceeds will go towards creating a new patio outside the Oak Hills tennis office. These proceeds will be combined with money that has been donated to the Supporters of Oak Hills Park along with funds allocated by the OHPA for improvements to the tennis center. And we have many on our list we would like to tackle.

In March, Oak Hills installed a new drainage system in the area behind the tennis building. This will help the water problem when it rains and now we can move forward with plans on creating the new patio. This project will help realize one of Art’s ambitions - to make the facility a place where tennis lovers can congregate and socialize when they aren’t playing.

And speaking of tennis! The courts will be open starting Monday, May 9 with the women’s summer league, clinics, lessons with the pros, and open court play. We plan to resume the 10 am to 12 pm, drop-in doubles program on Saturdays and Sundays starting May 14 & 15, more information to follow.

Kings Highway Tennis runs the summer program at Oak Hills from May to the end of August. For more detailed information you may view Kings Highway website at https://www.oakhillstennisclub.com/
